Volunteers’ Week – 1st-7th June 2020 – is an opportunity for us to recognise the incredible work that our volunteers have done or are currently doing for our communities, especially during this most difficult of times.
As we are in lockdown and not able to run Volunteers Week events or award ceremonies in public venues, the Volunteers Week partnership group representing groups and organisations from across the community, have created a Facebook page. The group are also running virtual meetings. If you’d like to join, please e-mail kate.lee@communitycvs.org.uk.
We are collecting short video clips and combining it into a volunteers week video to recognise the enormous value of our local volunteers. Please can you ask any of your volunteers if they would be willing to do a short (around 30seconds) video message which includes: –
– their name
– what they do as a volunteer plus the name of the group they volunteer for
– and why they enjoy it
Once they’ve done this please send it to kiran.sadiq@bwdcarers.org.uk or via WhatsApp – 07794412501.
Please send videos by Friday 8th May.
Plus If you would like us to post a message from you to thank your volunteers please send us your post (with a photo if you have one) so we can add it to Facebook and twitter etc or tag @CommunityCVS.
Send posts/videos/photos to info@communitycvs.org.uk, kiran.sadiq@bwdcarers.org.uk or via WhatsApp – 07794412501.
Thank you for the amazing work that you all do for our communities.
