Volunteering is not only a wonderful way to change lives for the better, but the work of volunteers is fundamental to the success of organisations across the VCFSE sector.
This video features Benedict Gavin, who volunteers here at Community CVS in our Boulevard Centre. It’s fair to say that Benedict’s work is absolutely crucial to our operations and we are extremely lucky to have him. His generosity, skill, dedication and selflessness is priceless.
Benedict is one of a number of brilliant volunteers who provide reception and administrative services here at CVS – and he even volunteers with VOICE on Saturdays as part of the Breakfast Club team, which ensures that some of the most vulnerable people in our community are fed and have access to advice, support and signposting into other services. This is just the latest phase in a life of service which has seen Benedict volunteer with several organisation for some twenty years.
Benedict is a genuinely lovely man and we are so thankful to him and the rest of our volunteers. They are very much the foundations upon which our success as an organisation is built.
