Community CVS and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council are once again working together to celebrate and recognise the hard work, passion and dedication of our borough’s volunteers through our Community Volunteer Awards.
To make the awards as successful as possible we are searching for sponsors to share the love and support their community and invest in the event.
Donna Talbot, Membership Development Officer at Community CVS, said:

Last year was a huge success with over 1000 individuals and groups nominated. A wide range of committed volunteers ranging from those who help keep their community clean and tidy to those who offer their time supporting individuals, charities and organisations attended.
Denise Park, Chief Executive of Blackburn with Darwen Council, said:
“Without the support from sponsors, we wouldn’t be unable to put on this remarkable event to celebrate our borough’s amazing volunteers. Each year these awards showcase the wonderful community spirit that we have here. These people go above and beyond to make the borough a better place and it’s important that we come together and celebrate this and support the event as much as we can.”
This year the awards will be held on Thursday 6th November 2025, with Graham Liver hosting.
Sponsorship packages come with lots of added value including the opportunity to access space on the Council’s digital advertising assets.
As well as offering your organisation the chance to be associated with this premier event, all funds raised through sponsorship go towards making sure the event is high quality and a night to remember for the people nominated.
