In this video, Jacqui Holker shares her experiences with Shahida, which prove the very real benefits of the screening process and the importance of the work of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
Jacqui took the test on the 16th January and was quickly notified that some abnormalities had been detected, necessitating further intervention in the form of a colonoscopy.
The colonoscopy found a number of polyps which were promptly removed. Thankfully, these were all benign.
Jacqui is quick to praise the process and all involved, noting that the SSP nurses and medical staff were very good, being informative, caring and highly professional.
Many thanks to Jacqui for sharing her story.
