We are delighted to announce that the fantastic Chip in are proudly sponsoring the Young People’s Award at the Community Volunteer Awards 2024.
Chip in is a partnership volunteer project for young people from the borough of Blackburn with Darwen, with mentoring at the heart. We work with a range of local organisations and are passionate about supporting young people into volunteer opportunities within the borough. Our aim is to break down barriers that young people face and provide diverse, high quality opportunities across a range of sectors to help build skills, develop and grow.
We are all about celebrating young people in volunteering and we saw nothing more fitting than sponsoring this year’s awards. It’s a great opportunity to focus on achievements, contributions and the people behind this, to really take the time to appreciate what impact volunteering can have on individuals, organisations and communities.
Chip in have recently launched a new digital platform that has been co-designed with partner organisations and young people. Available to access as a website or app, at the centre is a visual library of volunteer opportunities available within Blackburn with Darwen for 16-30 year olds.
