Community groups are invited to apply for up to £3,000 to plant between five and 25 fruit trees as part of the Coronation Living Heritage Fund’s Community Orchard Grant Scheme.
The Coronation Community Orchard Grant Scheme is a small grants programme for community groups in:
- Lancashire
- Blackburn with Darwen
- Blackpool
It is intended to provide a legacy to mark the King’s coronation.
The scheme is open to applications for a minimum of five trees to a maximum of 25.
The maximum grant is £3,000. Funding is limited to one application per group and is a one-off funding round.
Your project must be delivered before the end of March 2025.
It can take up to six weeks for your application to be processed. If it might affect your ability to plant, please let us know.
As a condition of accepting the grant, your group will be asked to submit a completion report including photos. This report must be submitted after your planting day and before 31 March 2026.
Who can apply
You can apply if your organisation is a:
- voluntary or community organisation
- registered charity
- constituted group or club
- Community Interest Company (CIC), or Community Benefit Society (CBS)
- Town or Parish Council
- Faith organisation
- school
