Breastfeeding helps babies get the best start in life, ensuring that they have access to nutrition, immunity and in terms of building a strong emotional bond between mother and child. Breastfeeding also has health benefits for new mothers.
Community CVS is committed to promoting and supporting breastfeeding in Blackburn with Darwen and, to this end, we are delighted to have teamed up with the Family Hubs at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council to provide small grants for projects which support and promote breastfeeding among local families through the Infant Feeding Community Grants scheme, through which community groups and organisations can apply for between £250 and £1,000.
Please note: there is no set deadline. Applications can be submitted for consideration at any time. The Grants will remain open to applicants until the money is fully allocated.
