The Bureau Centre for the Arts CIC was set up on Tuesday 10th March 2015 as an independent, grassroots, artist led, community Arts Centre to be a creative home and hub for the people of Blackburn and have, for a decade, provided a space for arts activities, exhibitions, performances, music, cultural events and community participation. They have regular weekly activities, plus exciting one off events that create a full programme of accessible arts experiences and opportunities for all to enjoy.
The next twelve months will see The Bureau continuing and expanding their programme, and also hosting special events to celebrate their achievements, including a TEN celebration, an archive exhibition showcasing the hundreds of events that have been held over the decade and a range of TEN themed ways to get involved and to support us.
To this end, they have recently launched their Friends of The Bureau scheme and are inviting supporters of The Bureau and the work they do to sign up to a regular donation of £10 a month (or, if this is more than you are able to pledge, a smaller amount or one off donation).
We would like to congratulate The Bureau on their milestone and commend them for the exceptional work they do locally, in providing a home for all manner of art and creativity in Blackburn with Darwen. Here’s to the next decade!
