Primary Care services have organised a Learning Disability Health Day on Saturday 26th April between 10am and 3pm at Barbara Castle Way Health Centre – and volunteers will be crucial to the success of the event.
Volunteers are sought to carry out a number of roles (details below) at the event, which will promote cancer screening and awareness, offer health checks and promote healthy lifestyles.
Making Tea and coffee
Take orders from stall holders for tea and coffee
Refill stock of tea and coffee, cakes etc.
Keep area tidy
Manning the Car park to ensure cars parking are for the event
Check with cars entering the car park that they are there for the event, and advise of the 2-hour parking period
Stop cars after 2.30pm entering the car park
Guiding people to relevant stalls
Welcome people to the event.
Be on hand to guide the public to areas of the event (i.e toilets, tea and coffee)
