On Wednesday 15th November, Mohammed Kathrada visited Whitehall Park Supporters’ Group located within the grounds of Whitehall Park in Darwen. Mohammed met with Rita (secretary) and Vicki (Member) from the group.
The Whitehall Park Supporters’ Group is run by dedicated volunteers who have come together to maintain the park’s green space. The Whitehall Park Supporters’ Group run various projects with neighbouring schools and communities.
The most recent development work carried out is the garden project with wheel chair access to the garden site. The garden project is available freely to be used by local residents, community groups and schools.
The Whitehall Park Supporters’ Group are currently in need of new volunteers to come and join in with the delivery of projects, administration, maintenance and the generic running of the group.
The Whitehall Park Supporters’ Group is located on Whitehall Road, Darwen BB3 2LH (Rose Garden entrance) Anyone wish to visit the group or the Park, please note: do use Google to locate the address and postcode, as it will only take you a resident’s address.
