Today (Tuesday 4th February) is World Cancer Day, with a focus on a call for people-centred cancer care.
At Community CVS, we are justly proud of our Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) Health Promotion Team, who are doing life-saving work stressing the importance of Bowel Cancer Screening among people aged 54 to 74.
Currently, we are seeking volunteers to join us in enhancing this vital work. BCSP Volunteer Champions will be instrumental in helping promote, raise awareness and champion the BCSP, raising awareness through helping deliver community based promotional events throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria (we’re initially planning to run twelve events over the next six months).
