Every day thousands of people across Blackburn and Darwen go above and beyond to help others.
Whether it’s a kind gesture that made your day, or an exceptional act of bravery that made a world of difference, you never forget the time that someone was there for you when it mattered the most.
Wouldn’t it be incredible if there was a way to thank these unsung heroes?
People across Blackburn and Darwen are being encouraged to say thank you to all those currently working so hard to keep us safe and well while maintaining essential services, as part of a new campaign launched by Youth Action.
The Blackburn with Darwen Say Thank You campaign gives people a chance to show their appreciation for all the Borough’s heroes from all walks of life during the current pandemic. This could be anyone – emergency services, health care staff, teachers, social workers and youth workers!
Now, more than ever, it is important that we recognise the key workers and services who are keeping us safe, keeping us going, and helping us to stay at home during this unsettling time.
We’re looking to work with everyone who would like to say a Thank You in the Blackburn & Darwen area to all those continuously working hard to keep us safe.
Youth Actions ‘Say Thank You’ campaign needs individuals, schools, local organisations and companies to come together to make someone feel extra special.
Its so simple, to take part:
1) Write a personal letter (make it look amazing, decorate it etc)
2) Post it/ drop off to us, along with a small gift
3) We’ll make sure it gets to them!
Deadline: 18th December
